TESTIMONIALS:
Dear
Alex,
Thank
you for hosting a luncheon for me on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
While other contests often offer little more than an
ego gratification, you delivered, on your promise to
give the winner a leg up in the industry.
The
$1000 prize was generous. But I was also grateful that
you took time to introduce me to other producers. And
while offering support and encouragement, you were also
incisive and candid in discussing prospects for any
writer anxious to land work in the television industry.
Your honesty was much appreciated.
I
look forward to working with you in the future. My best
wishes for the holidays.
Jim
Macak.
Dear
Alex,
I'm
at a loss! I'm supposed to be a writer and yet I can't
quite convey how much your call meant and how proud
and honored I was that I won your contest. Please accept
my apologies for not being more articulate.
Alex,
I very much look forward to meeting you . And, again,
thank you.
Sincerely,
Jim
Macak.
Alex,
Stephen & Brandon,
Thank
you all for hosting the winner's luncheon this week.
It was a great opportunity to meet industry professionals
and network with the other writers. Thanks also for
your commitment to writers. It means the world to rookies
like me.
Best,
Cheryl.
Dear Alex and everyone at aTalentScout,
Thank you so much for putting
together such a wonderful reception (at the studio on 1/21/03 for the 2002
winners). It was very refreshing to meet and talk with fellow future TV writers
who are striving for the same goals I am. So many contests make their
announcement, and thatıs the end of it - With yours you not only gave us a
wonderful reception, but also an opportunity to meet with the other winners and
established producers in an incredibly easy going, forum. It was a truly
generous gesture, for which I am extremely grateful.
Thanks again!
All the best,
Ryan H.
Alex, Steve,
and Brandon,
Thank you all
for hosting such a fantastic awards luncheon. As a runner-up, you all made me
feel like the winner! In addition, I got to sit between two producers and
across from a future show runner. It was hard to eat the tasty lunch (good call
on the duck, Steve.)
Ive been a
top 10 finalists and runner-up in other contests but felt lucky to just get an
email instead of reading about it on their website. Your awards luncheon with
the certificate, photos, and opportunity to meet industry people, puts the other
contests to shame!
Thanks again for a wonderful day,
Sandi
